Creating Cultures of Learning and Joyful Relationships
“Every child deserves someone to be crazy about them.” This is the mantra of Dr. Salome Thomas-EL, award-winning teacher and principal, and internationally recognized educator. Principal EL believes that resilient teachers and leaders focus on developing classrooms and schools where students and teachers are nurtured and supported through relationships so they can dream big and be creative. We develop deep connections with students and families, take risks, and challenge the status quo. Resilient teachers and leaders ensure that students are exposed to engaging and joyful classrooms, have a sense of belonging and feel valued.
Attendees will leave understanding the power and importance of all educators tending to the emotional well-being of our students, so they can become resilient. Principal EL will also discuss the power of building learning cultures, not teaching cultures in our schools. Join Dr. EL in his keynote to better understand the power of relationships in schools and celebrate the impact we can make when we leverage our roles as learners, and compassionate teachers and leaders.
