SELEQUITY™ is about providing everyone great opportunity, understanding that a rising tide lifts all boats. When we help everyone thrive, everything gets better for everyone. We live in an abundant world, it is not a zero sum game, and someone’s gains should be another’s gain as well.
What is your favorite Mindset?
My favorite Mindset is We Are Connected because when we connect with others, we heal, we engage actively in our lives, and we thrive. The problems we face won’t be solved by governments, policy, or legislation. It will only happen by people coming together and creatively driving change.
How do you practice the 7 Mindsets in your everyday life?
When living the Mindsets, I have learned to take small steps. Becoming happier is a slow and steady process. You will have good days and bad days, but you can make progress each day. The further you go, the deeper it gets. We all have so much potential.
Why do you feel SELEQUITY is more impactful than teaching SEL alone?
Equity is critical to SEL because it is the greatest challenge facing our education system. Until it is adequately addressed, we will continue to waste unbelievable potential.
