Executive in Residence, USC Race and Equity Center

Danette Gerald Howard is the inaugural Executive in Residence at the University of Southern California’s Race and Equity Center where she works with corporate and not-profit leaders to embed a commitment to racial equity within their organization’s strategy and operations. A nationally regarded analyst, speaker and thought leader, Dr. Howard serves on numerous boards and commissions including the Association of Governing Board’s Council for Student Success, Excelencia in Education’s Seal of Excelencia Advisory Council, and the Howard University Board of Trustees where she is chairperson of the Academic Excellence Committee. In 2015, she was honored for her outstanding success and national distinction in the fields of education and policy with Howard University’s Distinguished Alumni.
