Last week in Minneapolis, the 7 Mindsets team wrapped up the 2nd of 4 summer conferences on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). To shortcut straight to the photo gallery, click here.
For our small team within a rapidly growing organization, 2017 marks our first year offering Mindsets University in 4 cities (vs just one). Taking this leap seriously, we’re listening closely and adjusting as we move from city to city. Click here to learn about and register for our events in San Antonio and Atlanta this July.
After taking feedback from the energized participants in Colorado the week before, we made adjustments that would help Minnesota educators connect and collaborate even more closely from the get-go. A diverse crowd of educators worked together, despite their host communities ranging from densely populated urban neighborhoods to remote MN and ND outposts. The outcome of such a diverse group working together was energizing!
A few hat tips:
- To the 30+ educators who drove for 4+ hours just to join us at Mindsets University!
- To Mike Cruz from Casa Grande, Arizona, for Skyping into Mindsets University from CGMS to introduce Minnesota participants to several students enrolled in CGESD’s 7 Mindsets Summer Camp.
- To Principal Karon Cunningham from Franklin Middle School, who brought us new friends from Minneapolis Public Schools, along with several of her top teachers – accelerating and deepening countless collaborative sessions.
- To 7 Mindsets Founders Scott Shickler and Jeff Waller, who have courageously and creatively adapted to the snowball effect taking place as a result of their early research – now fueling a social movement in K-12 education nationwide.
