A former elementary school educator, Smith-Collins has held district leader positions in curriculum instruction alignment and accountability. She also has an extensive background in multi-cultural education, equity, and Pre-K-Grade 12 education. In addition, she is a charter member of the National Museum of African American History & Culture.
