Mindset Moments Video Series

Our Mindset Moments video series helps educators gain a better understanding of the 7 Mindsets and how these mindsets can positively impact their lives. Each 5-minute video includes a brief introduction to the mindset and related resources/ideas to utilize on campus. 

Everything is Possible

In this Mindset Moment, we focus on Everything is Possible and the importance of dreaming big, embracing creativity and expecting great results. We’ll explore how to incorporate the language of this mindset into the subject of science.

Mindset Activity: Take a moment to discuss with colleagues: Which of these suggestions/activities for using the Everything is Possible mindset with science could you see yourself using with your class(es)? What do you think about using some of the themed challenges or reflective huddles with your students?

Passion First

In this Mindset Moment, we focus on Passion First and the incredible power of focusing on our strengths, exploring our interests, taking a stand for what matters to us, and being authentic in all that we do.  We’ll explore how to incorporate the language of this mindset into the subject of social studies.

Mindset Activity: Take a moment to discuss with colleagues: Have you ever connected Passion First to the subject area of social studies? Which of the ideas/insights do you think you could use while teaching social studies?

We Are Connected

In this Mindset Moment, we focus on We Are Connected and the importance of embracing everyone, maximizing positive relationships, building a dream team and leading with value. We’ll explore how to incorporate the language of this mindset into the subject of language arts.

Mindset Activity: Take a moment to discuss with colleagues: How can you incorporate the We are Connected mindset into the language arts curriculum you are using? Which of the ideas/insights do you think you could use while teaching language arts?

100% Accountable

In this Mindset Moment, we focus on being 100% Accountable and the importance of owning our lives, overcoming limiting beliefs, focusing our energy, and growing through life. We’ll explore how to incorporate the language of this mindset into the subject of math.

Mindset Activity: Engage with your colleagues: What are some ways we can incorporate the 100% Accountable mindset with our teaching of math? Which of the ideas shared could we use while teaching mathematics?

Attitude of Gratitude

In this Mindset Moment, we embrace an Attitude of Gratitude, recognizing the importance of treasuring ourselves, being more grateful, thanking it forward, and elevating our perspective. We’ll explore how to incorporate the language of this mindset into the subject of world languages.

Mindset Activity: Discuss with your colleagues: How do you find ways to incorporate the Attitude of Gratitude mindset into world languages? How can we use self-reflection and gratitude journalling within our classrooms?

Live to Give

In this Mindset Moment, we focus on Live to Give and the importance of stretching ourselves to make a difference and receiving gracefully while creating a legacy. We’ll explore how to incorporate the language of this mindset into the subject of physical education (PE).

Mindset Activity: Think about ways to incorporate the Live to Give mindset in PE. Could you use reflective huddles ideas and have students reflect on ways they could help others? What about a Legacy Board challenge for students to write down how they want to have an impact?

The Time is Now

In this Mindset Moment, we focus on The Time is Now and the importance of embracing every moment, getting in the zone, being vulnerable, and acting with purpose. We’ll explore how to incorporate the language of this mindset into the subject of the arts.

Mindset Activity: Think about how you can encourage students to be fully present in the creative process. What ideas can you use to help students get in the zone?
