Online Lesson Plans for SEL Social Emotional Learning

7 Mindsets For Schools Director, Duane Moyer, presents the resource hub to a group of K12 Virtual Academy administrators at Mindsets University in San Antonio, Texas.

For Immediate Release:

(Roswell, GA) July 26, 2017 — 7 Mindsets, the national leader in mindsets-based social and emotional learning, is excited to announce the launch of its SEL Resources Hub: a quick-reference content portal that enables teachers to easily search thousands of learning objects, videos, activities and other instructional resources.

When combined with its K-12 lessons and activities already provided in its instructional portal, 7 Mindsets now offers the world’s most comprehensive suite of digital lessons and tools for teaching Social Emotional Learning.

The Resource Hub is designed for Just in Time Teaching (JITT) to enable educators to find the right piece of content at the right moment in time. Whether looking for a quick video to illustrate a concept, or adapting an existing lesson with more culturally relevant material, the content organized in the Resource Hub provides a foundation for critical discussion, relationship-building, and classroom community development.

By searching or adding their own SEL resources like videos, games, journal prompts and projects, users can group learning objects into lessons and share those lessons with their colleagues. The Resource Hub also allows educators to upload their own content and compile it into blended lesson plans.

“By integrating the new Resource Hub with its online curriculum portal, 7 Mindsets now offers the world’s largest collection of digital lessons, videos, activities and learning objects in one space.”

“The SEL Resources Hub is the culmination of years of input from our teachers on how to best meet teacher’s needs in the classroom,” says Mahmoud Dahy, eLearning Development Manager at 7 Mindsets. “As schools become more advanced with SEL teaching, the need for great customization has become critical. The Resource Hub gives educators the ability to create a personalized experience in their classroom.”

The Resource Hub was developed in partnership with an independent team of 15 educators, and with its actual content curated by a team of 4 elementary, middle and high school teachers & counselors. It is available to all schools and after-school organizations implementing the 7 Mindsets for the 2017 – 2018 school year.
