In recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week, members of our Customer Success Team share their favorite Teacher Appreciation Week memories. Enjoy!
“One of my favorite Teacher Appreciation Week memories is when I was teaching first grade, and our PTO and administration went above and beyond to celebrate us. Each day had a fun dress-up theme, and parents volunteered to walk our students to lunch, giving us a few extra moments to relax. During our planning periods, we were treated to chair massages in the staff room—such a thoughtful and refreshing treat! One day, parents came in and cooked an incredible authentic Mexican lunch that filled the school with delicious smells and even better flavors. Each day ended with exciting raffles filled with donated items like gift cards, coolers, beach towels, and more. But the best part for me was always the homemade cards, sweet handwritten notes, and giant banners from my students. Their messages of love and appreciation, combined with their endless hugs, were the most meaningful gifts of all. That week made me feel so seen, valued, and cared for—not just as a teacher, but as a person. It was a perfect reminder of the strong, supportive community we were lucky to be part of.” –Andrew Chismar, Customer Success Manager
“One Teacher Appreciation Week memory that has always stayed with me comes from a student named Chase. It wasn’t the size of the gift or a big classroom celebration—it was something much smaller, yet incredibly meaningful. On that day, Chase handed me a folded note along with two crumpled dollar bills. Inside the note, he had written, in his own words, that I was a great teacher and that he appreciated everything I did. It wasn’t just the words or the money—it was the thought behind it. I knew those two dollars were probably a lot to him, and the fact that he wanted to give something from his heart made it unforgettable. That simple, sincere gesture reminded me why we show up every day for our students, and it’s a moment I carry with me, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week. It’s proof that sometimes the smallest tokens of appreciation can have the biggest impact.” –Thais Hunter, Customer Success Manager
“One memory of Teacher Appreciation Week that has really stayed with me is when I got to celebrate two of my amazing nieces, Dr. Yvette Ernand de la Vega and Lissette Wright-Reigosa, on the 7 Mindsets Educators Page. The Customer Success team had launched a campaign that week to spotlight and celebrate the incredible work of teachers, and I knew I had to share just how proud I am of the educators in my own family. Watching them shine in their roles inspired me to post—not just to recognize their hard work, but to highlight the passion and heart they bring to their students every single day. What made it even more meaningful was getting to share that pride with a larger community and highlight how lucky I am to be part of a family of educators. It reminded me how powerful it is to lift each other up and say, ‘You’re making a difference.’” –Teresa Reigosa, Senior Customer Success Manager
“One of the most unforgettable Teacher Appreciation Weeks of my career was during my second-year teaching math at Coral Springs Middle School. My eighth-grade students surprised the four of us, who taught their core subjects of Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science, with beautiful, overflowing gift baskets. Inside were heartfelt notes and thoughtful gifts, each one a reminder of the connection we had built that year. It was such a touching gesture, and I’ll always carry the memory of that week—and those incredible kids—with me.” –Julie Spierto, Team Lead, Customer Success
“As an educator, the memories that have stayed with me from Teacher Appreciation Weeks are not the breakfasts or gifts, although those are always thoughtful and appreciated, but the meaningful messages from my students. One year, each of my students wrote me a card and drew a picture to go with it. Some shared kind words, others wrote about their favorite class memories, and each one was unique and heartfelt. I have kept those cards over the years because they remind me of the impact we can have as teachers. That week stood out not because of anything fancy, but because it reflected the genuine connections we build with our students.” –Emily Terrazas, Customer Success Manager
“One of my favorite memories from Teacher Appreciation Week is when our school turned it into a full-on celebration. Each day had a surprise—breakfast from the PTA, handwritten notes from students, and even a ‘relaxation lounge’ with snacks and soft music during planning periods. But what meant the most were the small, heartfelt moments—like a student giving me a drawing with a note that said, “You make school feel like home.” It reminded me why I do the work I do and just how powerful appreciation can be.” –Lesley Wilson, Senior Customer Success Manager
